ever had “one of those wks”, or days or whatever!? obviously we all do. i’ve just had “one of those wks” and i’m thankful to say i believe it’s over. during those times boy is it easy to let negativity take control! i normally like to think of myself as a very postitive person, and i don’t think i really ever noticed how much “work” (thoughts) go into being “positive”. it’s so easy to sink into that abyss of darkness i’m sure we all face at times..and at those times it doesnt seem like the sun will ever come out again. but coming out of these times is what actually makes us stronger ppl…it just depends on yur perception of things. i love that word! “perception”. such a strong word…y’know. a group of 6 ppl could all be a part of the same experience..yet if y’ask all 6 ppl separately u could get 6 different versions of said experience. perception. we all see things in our own unique way…like no one else. so anyway…all that is leading up to a poem i wrote which i’d like to share:

sometimes things happen we can’t comprehend…
and the trials we face we can’t bare.
the blows we are dealt can be cruel and unkind…
and face it…life can be unfair!
the storms that we weather, can throw us off course
and at times we’ll feel truly beat down.
more often than not, when we feel hardest hit
it can seem like we’re going to drown.
jus’ know in these times, ‘tho the reason’s unknown,
there’s purpose for the cross’s we bear.
we don’t always see all the strength it can bring,
even tho’ it has always bin there!
in the hour of darkness…when brought to our knees…
when we feel, that all hope is gone…
only then…will we find…the light that we seek…
and find the power…we’ve had all along!

a rainy day

well i don’t know ’bout everyone else…but i jus’ love watchin’ a good ol’ thunder ‘n lightnin storm. the louder it is the better i like it. i find it both exciting, yet humbling at the same time… after seeing what goes on in other parts of the world, i feel truly blessed to live where i do…where only a thunderstorm or electrical storm is the norm. So…on this rainy day….i wish to share my thoughts on….

natures fury

the clouds roll in

and the sky turns black…

the lightning flashes

the thunder cracks…

the ominous presence of nature

takes hold

as the furies unleash

and the storm unfolds

the skies open up

and the rains come down

the torrents unleash…

they know no bounds

the rolling thunders

have a powerful voice

to acknowledge this power

is our only choice…

so sit back and witness nature’s violent song

till it all subsides

and decides to move on

the reunion

well this past weekend was definitely one to remember. the ol’ high school reunion weekend, and when i say weekend…i mean aall weekend. 50 yrs of alumni showed up which made for quite an interesting mix. there was soo many ppl there & lots of happy smilin faces…memories flooding back from the far reaches of the mind…faces forgotten over the yrs reconnecting again. the school put on a fantastic set up. there were “decade rooms” to peruse…school memorabilia being sold by todays students…there were after parties, a bar in the “caf” :0 a live band playing outside in the tent, and there was even a school production of Grease which was fantastic and a catered dinner. seen some of the teachers of yesteryear & chuckled at the old sinks in the girls room which u have to step on the pedal to release the water…aah the good ol’ days. it was an amazing time with amazing friends new and old.
a word to the young…get involved while u can…the regrets which eventually come are usually due to the things u didn’t do rather than the things you did! don’t be afraid to join a team..there’s lots to choose from so there’s something for everyone no matter what your interests…say “heyy” to everyone whether you know them or not…being friendly is too under rated & there’d be much less tension if u just pass yur smile on!

well thats my “randomness from within” for today. i wish all much peace, light & love
